First edition. Fundamental work on the entire mining industry in Bohemia and Moravia, reproducing numerous documents; a classic of mineralogy, technical history, and economic history. Peithner served as mining inspector in Prague. The fine, large-sized vignettes, engraved by Jacob Adam and J. E. Mansfeld, show mining scenes, coins, medals, allegories, and a small view of Prague.
