Charming watercolour album depicting the uniforms of the French army in the late 19th century, including 16 plates of cavalry units, 4 of mules carrying ordnance and strongboxes, and several legendary colonial units such as the Chasseurs d'Afrique, the Spahis, Zouaves, Turcos, and Tirailleurs Tonkinois.
Paper slightly browned evenly; binding rubbed and bumped at extremeties but still very appealing.
